Sunrise and sunset walks are a must at this condominium resort located on 11 acres, 1 mile from Kaanapali's tournament golf courses; views encompass neighboring Molokai and Lanai.

Tranquility reigns here. Families, couples, and groups settle into their homes-away-from-home and enjoy restful vacations. The grounds are expansive, the gardens soothing. There are five buildings, all but one (a six-story tower) is only two stories high, and there are just 252 units on the resort's 11 acres. Bordering the resort's grounds is one of the nicest beach-walking stretches in northwest Maui.

All 252 units in this Kaanapali beachfront condominium resort are spacious and offer guests air-conditioning, an in-room safe, and a refrigerator. Studios, one- and two-bedroom condominium offer complete kitchens and private lanais. Choice of Garden, Ocean, or Oceanside views.

Two swimming pools lie next to one another near the ocean, and a third pool is available in a more secluded spot. The main pool’s sundeck is spacious, with lawns around the resort providing alternative sunning areas. For children ages 5–12, Camp Kaanapali (at Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas' sister resort, Aston Kaanapali Shores, 2 miles north) provides morning and afternoon sessions of Hawaiian activities and education, including a Sugar Cane Train ride. Children can also borrow games from the front desk.

Camp Kaanapali is offered to children ages 5 – 12. Camp activities include a variety of Hawaiian cultural and outdoor-based activities such as hula dancing, ukulele lessons, beach exploration, lei making, sand art, kite making/flying, swimming, scavenger hunts, games, arts, and crafts. Both day and evening sessions are available.

Golf alone makes West Maui famous. Two world-class courses are located 1 mile south of the resort. Three award-winning, championship courses nestle between the verdant West Maui Mountains and the blue Pacific in Kapalua, 6 miles north. In addition, the Kapalua Golf Academy, Hawaii's premier state-of-the-art teaching facility, is located nearby. Public tennis centers are located 1 mile south.

Snorkel sets, boogie boards, paddle boats, small catamarans, windsurfers, beach backrests, and "cabanas" with adjustable tentlike shades can be rented on the beach. From the beach about a mile south, catamarans offer whale-watching trips during the winter and snorkeling and scuba excursions as well as dinner cruises year-round.

Castaway Cafe is a hidden treasure tucked away on the northwest shore on one of Maui's finest beaches - Kaanapali Beach. Fronting the shimmering Pacific and surrounded by palms and sea grape trees, Castaway Cafe is a treasure chest filled with culinary jewels at attractive prices.

Since 1994 the Castaway Crew has worked hard to create a relaxed and casual atmosphere for your dining pleasure. The restaurant's beachfront location, between the pools and the ocean, offers one of the best sunset views looking west towards the Islands of Molokai and Lanai. Castaway's is an ideal place for an early morning breakfast, a relaxed afternoon lunch, or a sunset cocktail and dinner. The Castaway Café serves American cuisine with island flair.
